Have you checked out the Randall 'Great' Pumpkin Patch? In the spring of 2023 4K students grew pumpkin seeds and out own Mr. Merfeld planted them. The pumpkins have outgrown any expectations!

Attendance LIMBO! How low can you go? Mrs. Byers was the first class to receive the perfect attendance limbo award. Time in class with amazing teachers is so valuable. And...how lucky are we to have these two as our Deans supporting students?

New Employee Spotlight - Tina Collins, 2nd Grade Teacher! Why are you looking forward to working at Randall? "Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat! I just couldn’t stay away! I am so excited to be working with my second-grade students and watching them soar!" Which of our Fab Five are you most excited about supporting at Randall? "I love the Fab Five, so it’s hard to choose one, but I think Empathy is the one I look most forward to supporting! Empathy, to me, means understanding one another and we will do this by building strong individual and classroom community relationships." What is a hobby/interest of yours? "I love decorating and design! But most of the time, you can find me outside boating, biking or walking!" How will you Empower Excellence? "I will empower excellence in each and every one of my students by meeting her or him where they are at, and then giving them the tools and confidence to soar!"

"I have many hobbies outside of school including hiking, kayaking, skiing and weight lifting but most of all, I really enjoy watching and playing baseball." "I will empower excellence by providing students with relatable and interesting content as well as teaching that content in an exciting way that will stick with them for years to come."

We are hours away from our annual drop off night and just days away from the start of the school year. This is my 24th year in education and every year has excitement and opportunities that come from every angle! This year will be no different. I can guarantee that. Some initial excitement comes from having our students back in the building and watching our upcoming referendum projects take shape. We have already had a few challenges or opportunities that you all know. We have had no, or inconsistent, internet / phones for nine (9) days over the past three weeks. While we don’t need the internet for trending on Tik Tok - not having it really hurts our ability to complete what our staff needs to. The second challenge is finding bus drivers. We have had some of our former bus friends change rolls or get full time work that doesn’t allow them to drive anymore. The bus driver shortage is all over and unfortunately is now impacting Randall. Look for communication from our Deans and Principal on the impact that this shortage will have on the start of our school year. This evening we may not be able to provide all the answers that are wanted around transportation, but we will communicate as soon as possible. Good or bad, the best part is that on August 29th we GET TO welcome back our students, your children, to Randall. Our teachers, which are amazing, GET TO have the opportunity and time to be and do amazing things with our students. Thanks for your grace and patience, it is appreciated more than you know. Regardless of any starting hurdles, all of us here at Randall are looking forward to an amazing 2023-2024 school year. With Gratitude and Thanks, Bob Antholine Randall District Administrator

Community Message
Randall Parents/Guardians, Sometimes we need to ask for some grace and patience. Today is the seventh (7th) day over the past two and a half weeks that we have had outages that have impacted our work here these last remaining days of summer vacation. The good news is this is NOT an internal Randall issue, but without our outside provider working we can't communicate out. There is no excuse, just relaying that again today we have no phone or internet access. This is greatly impacting our communication with each of you around class lists as well as Drop Off Night. Supply Drop Off is tomorrow (Thursday) from 5:30-7:00 pm, as we ask that new to Randall families come from 4:30-5:30 pm. As soon as we are able to communicate any updates we will do so via our Facebook page and/or email as needed. Again, thank you for understanding. With Gratitude, Bob Antholine Randall District Administrator

New Employee Spotlight - Dylan Sanchez! "I am looking forward to working at Randall because I currently live in the community and I see how wonderful everyone is. This was something I wanted to be a part of and I’m super excited to work here! Out of the fab 5, I am most excited to work with students to gear their perseverance and show them that they can work through any problems. Perseverance builds strong and confident students and any of our students is capable of doing anything. Obstacles are made to be overcome! Some of my hobbies and interests include playing video games with friends and I am a big sports person. I love to golf and play basketball in my free time. I also watch sports on TV, such as football and baseball. Of course, I watch Chicago sports teams since I am from Illinois (bear down!) I will empower excellence by providing opportunities for students to explore their passions and talents. I would also encourage setting achievable goals each quarter in which I will provide them with the tools to achieve their goals. This way they have the tools to be empowered through excellence!"
